The first Career Expo of the Washoe County School District (WCSD) was designed to present 5000+ middle and high schoolers from WCSD with various job opportunities in the area. Awesome event! It took place on Monday and Tuesday, November 9-10. NCLab was invited to give 12 presentations on computer programming and 3D modeling jobs to 12 different groups of students. Besides NCLab there was Tesla, Switch, Panasonic, Microsoft, and a number of other companies. The NCLab presentation was titled Jobs of Tomorrow – Coding, Programming and 3D Modeling”.But we only managed to give the first 6 of them, because Reno was hit by a snow storm that prevented school buses from bringing the students on the second day. The second part of the Expo will take place some time in February or March, so that the remaining students do not miss the presentations.
