Intro to 3D Geometry
Learn About Points, Coordinates, Vectors, Angles, Shapes, and Geometrical Transformations
Good understanding of 3D geometry is required in robotics, engineering, science, architecture, arts, game design, and in many other areas. In this course students learn how to manipulate objects in the XY plane and in the 3D space using geometrical transformations, as well as to create their own designs. The course uses some mathematics such as the theorem of Pythagoras or the inner product of vectors, but overall it focuses on practical applications rather than on theory. Its main objective is to help students develop spatial reasoning skills (“thinking in the 3D space”).
