Free K-12 Workshops at UNR

Free NCLab STEM workshops for K-12 schools at UNR were introduced in February 2014 and they quickly became popular. Often we host three school trips per week. School buses come from Reno but also from towns as much as 130 miles away. If you are interested in exposing your students to introductory computer programming and 3D modeling (both are essential STEM skills), all you need to do is to fill and submit the form below.

Logistics

NOTE: The capacity of our computer lab limits one workshop to 25 students. Minimum recommended age of students is 10-11 years (4-5th grade). Typical timing: Arrival at UNR between 9:30 and 10 am. Computer programming 90 – 120 minutes. Lunch 30 minutes. 3D modeling 60 – 90 minutes. Departure from UNR around 2 pm. Please keep in mind that for most school districts it takes at least 3 weeks to schedule a bus.
