SUMMARY
I am a junior level full stack JavaScript developer. I have built and deployed a variety of MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, Node.js) applications. I am comfortable using object oriented programming patterns, consuming third-party APIs and JavaScript libraries, writing HTML5 and CSS3, and managing my projects with Git.
PROJECTS
Reno Crash Events: I participated in Hack4Reno 2014, a weekend hack-a-thon for civic projects in Reno, Nevada. With a team of developers, I helped create an interactive visualization of traffic accident data. Our project won the “Best Use of City Data” category. Stock Jump: Users enter a stock symbol and a chart updates to show the line graph of the stock entered. The stock data is retrieved from the Yahoo Finance API which is then parsed and rendered into a chart with the help of the highcharts.js library. I built this project as part of the Free Code Camp full stack development certification course. WORK EXPERIENCE
Recording Coordinator, Nevada Talking Book Services Jun 2013 — Jan 2015 I managed the production of audio books for the Nevada Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. I trained and supervised seven volunteer narrators, edited audio files using Adobe Audition software, and converted the raw audio files into navigable audio books. During my time as coordinator, I helped our library gain approval to upload our audio books to the national database.
