The Beamer package is a popular tool for students, scientists, and engineers who like LaTeX to prepare their presentations in PDF format. Beamer is a free, open source alternative to PowerPoint that is easy to get used to because of many predefined styles and cool features. Currently, most people are still presenting from their own laptops – bringing the laptop to the podium, disconnecting the default computer, connecting your laptop, eventually battling display incompatibility problems. This is not needed anymore. If you upload your presentation to NCLab, you can present it using the default computer that is stationed in the presentation room. All you need is an internet connection. Of course you can also edit and compile your presentation in the web browser – NCLab is on the cloud!
