The Washoe County SD NCLab Training Day took place on June 20 at the WCSD training facility at Matley Lane in Reno. It was attended by 42 math and science teachers, we did computer programming with Karel the Robot and 3D modeling with PLaSM, and it was a HUGE SUCCESS. The excitement of teachers about new technologies that became available for their students through NCLab can be illustrated with a blog post by Mrs. Harvey (Cannan ES in Reno):
Our newest partners include the Cannan ES in Reno, Ted Hunsberger ES in Reno, the Honors Academy of Literature in Reno, and the Oasis K-12 school at Orcas Island (Washington State).
