The workshop took place on a rather short notice, right after the NASA 3D Modeling Challenge was announced. The demand quickly exceeded the workshop’s capacity of 50 students. We pushed the limit to 60, which was still OK because some students were willing to work in pairs. The workshop’s objective was to explain the rules and deadlines of the Challenge, and help students get started with the free 3D modeling app in NCLab. As always, there was an awesome atmosphere of excitement and collaboration. Students were encouraged to first work on any models of their interest, before they start working on the competition 3D container models. A few illustrative photos are shown below.
