The NCLab Computational On-Ramp Training Program is included in the SANDI Grant program for Nevada residents who meet the eligibility criteria.

Right now is a smart time to look into this training program, if you meet eligibility criteria. Funding is only available for a limited time and is given on a first come, first serve basis.

SANDI Grant Eligibility Criteria

To meet eligibility criteria, you must be a Nevada resident and meet one of the following four criteria :

  • Unemployed
  • Underemployed
  • A new job seeker
  • Limited English Proficiency Adult

Income requirements: If you have an annual income exceeding $37,000,  you are not eligible for this grant.

Studying Requirements: You must be able to commit to studying 10 hours a week in order to complete your training on time.

The NCLab SANDI 4-Step Application Process 

  • Step 1: SANDI Computational Assessment
  • Step 2: NCLab SANDI Interview
  • Step 3: NCLab SANDI Application
  • Step 4: Career Explorer Assessments

Step 1: The SANDI Computational Assessment

The SANDI computational assessment is done online and it takes 2 hours, on average, to complete it. You will need a computer or a laptop with an internet connection. This assessment is required as the first step of the NCLab SANDI application process.

OPTIONAL: Additionally, consider taking the Data Analyst or Python Developer Assessment while you are taking the computational assessment. This is the perfect way to experience the working environment of a real life Data Analyst or Python Programmer through our training platform.

SANDI ASSESSMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Step 2: The SANDI Interview

When you have completed the SANDI Computational Assessment, you will be prompted to schedule a 30 minute Google Meets interview with an intake specialist at NCLab. During this interview, you will have a chance to review your assessment results and ask questions you have about NCLab’s Computational On-Ramp program. The intake specialist will ask you questions about your programming, educational, and professional backgrounds, to make sure you get started with the right footing.

Part 3: NCLab SANDI Application 

The NCLab Intake Specialist will help you to complete the NCLab SANDI Computational On-Ramp Program Application.

The application processing time can take anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks so you’ll want to complete it as soon as possible. 

Part 4: Career Explorer Assessments  

Once you have reached a decision to take the Computational On-Ramp Training program, you will need to do the following:

  1. Get a Nevada Library Card
  2. Create a CAREER EXPLORER ACCOUNT
  3. Take and complete the Interests Profile
  4. Take and complete the Skills Profiler
  5. Complete the Summary Report and email it to [sandi@nclab.com]

With your approval in hand, you will be enrolled and contacted by your training program coach to schedule your first coaching appointment.
