What is the NCLab CAREER READINESS ASSESSMENT?

The CAREER READINESS ASSESSMENT is a 2-hour “learn-and-apply” hands-on assessment that provides insight into individuals’ attention to detail, comprehension of written instructions, ability to apply newly-acquired knowledge, problem-solving skills, and perseverance needed to thrive in any organization.

This assessment is not a questionnaire and does not measure prior knowledge or include math. The only requirements are basic English reading skill and keyboarding ability. Virtually anybody can take the assessment.

Unlike traditional assessments, this tool evaluates key competencies without relying on past experience, making it an ideal resource for objective, informed decision making.

Individuals who complete the assessment are provided a certificate of completion and can be confident that they’ll be able to successfully complete workplace activities and career training that they set their mind to do.

The CAREER READINESS ASSESSMENT has been used at NCLab for many years to determine whether people have an aptitude to learn, adapt, and perform well in its training programs. The results have been studied over time and have shown themselves to be very relevant.

Interestingly, close to 100% of the individuals who score highly on the assessment and subsequently enroll in NCLab Data Analyst, Python Programmer, and Automation Technician career training programs complete their training and start high-paying careers.

How is the CAREER READINESS ASSESSMENT scored?

The proprietary scoring system of the CAREER READINESS ASSESSMENT includes numerous categories which cover the hard and soft skills measured by the assessment. Each category is assessed separately, and the final score is calculated based on these individual metrics.
