Overview of Training

This training program is 80 hours in length and it is all hands-on learning. While we allow up to 6 months to complete the program, the actual time taken varies greatly, depending on how many hours your schedule allows you to allocate to your training.

The training program uses a hands-on teaching method where you learn actively, in collaboration with NCLab instructors. You begin with creating simple 2D shapes, learn how to manipulate them in the XY plane, how to extrude them to the 3D space, and soon you make your first 3D designs. Your 3D models are automatically checked by the server, and you receive instant feedback and guidance.

At the end of the training program, you create a capstone 3D model of your own choice under the supervision of a CAD expert, using the companion CAD application. This application allows you to create your own 3D models, save them in your user account, export as STL files for 3D printing, and even share them with others online.

The hard and soft skills that you will learn will serve you well throughout your working life.

Soft skills that you will be developing simultaneously include improved problem solving, improved attention to detail, improved decision making, improved ability to do it right the first time, improved ability to persevere, improved adaptability, improved ability to deal with constant change, improved communication, improved creativity, improved listening, and improved organization, among others.
