Salary: $45,000 plus commission

NCLab (http://nclab.com/), is looking for an exceptional Sales Development Representative (SDR) for our growing company. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual who wants to make an impact in workforce development and career training. The SDR will report to NCLab’s Director of Sales. This position will primarily serve NCLab’s sales team by performing lead generation and qualification but will be flexible to incorporate projects and tasks across other areas of NCLab as needed. Potential growth paths include B2C Sales, B2B Partner Management, or other roles needed within the company where your skills will be best utilized.

About the Role

An SDR (Sales Development Representative) at NCLab is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads for our sales team. The SDR will play a crucial role in the sales process by generating interest in NCLab’s products and services and will help nurture prospects through the initial stages of the sales funnel. A typical day in this role will include video calls, phone calls, texts, and email outreach to prospective clients, having conversations with clients to understand their needs, and setting appointments for NCLab’s sales team. This includes keeping accurate records in Salesforce, communicating with the sales team to ensure smooth hand-off, and making other NCLab team’s aware of a potential mismatch with our products and client needs. Success in this role includes meeting or exceeding the targets set for this role, becoming an expert on NCLab products and processes, and eventually growing into additional responsibilities and roles here at NCLab. 

The SDR will:

  • Generate leads
    • Proactively identify and research potential customers using various tools, primarily ChatGPT but also including LinkedIn, exploratory video calls or in-person meetings, industry reports, etc.).
    • High volume cold-calling, emailing, and networking to reach out to prospects and create interest in the product or service.
  • Qualify leads
    • Engaging with prospects through video calls, phone calls, and other communication methods to understand their needs and challenges
    • Qualifying leads by determining if they match the company’s ideal customer profile.
  • Schedule appointments
    • Scheduling meetings or demos with qualified prospects for the sales team.
    • Acting as the initial point of contact to set up further sales conversations.
  • Proactively store information in NCLab’s CRM system
    • Maintaining accurate records of all interactions in Salesforce.
    • Updating information on prospects and tracking communication.
  • Collaborate with other team members
    • Working closely with the sales team to ensure smooth hand-offs of qualified leads.
    • Providing feedback to other relevant NCLab teams regarding customer pain points and market trends.
  • Meet or exceed the set goals for lead generation, conversion, meetings booked, etc. Commission bonuses will be earned based on meetings booked.

The SDR has:

  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • 1+ years experience working remotely
  • A bachelor’s degree but additional experience can substitute for education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, in-person, on video calls, over the phone, and through written correspondence.
  • “Hunter”/”go-getter” mentality to seek out new business opportunities for NCLab.
  • Ability to handle rejection and maintain persistence.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
  • Basic understanding of the company’s products and industry and a desire to learn more about this area.
